What types of access control systems doesAlbaServ India provide?
We provide biometric fingerprint, palm vein and face recognition systems, RFID and proximity card systems, smart card readers, boom barriers, flap barriers, turnstiles, and video door phones for all facility types.
Can access control integrate with CCTV and HR systems?
Yes. We integrate access control with CCTV for visual verification, and with HR/payroll software for automated time-attendance. Our systems support API integration with major HRMS platforms.
Do you provide access control for multi-location enterprises?
Yes. We deploy centrally managed multi-site platforms allowing a single administrator to manage access rights, view audit trails and generate reports across all locations from one dashboard.
What is the cost of biometric access control installation?
Costs vary based on number of doors/entry points, technology type, software requirements and integration needs. We provide free site assessment and detailed proposals.
What is an access control system and how does it work?
An access control system restricts and monitors entry to physical spaces using electronic authentication — such as biometric fingerprint, face recognition, RFID card, PIN, or a combination. When a user presents their credential at a reader, the system checks it against a database and either grants (unlocking the door) or denies access. All events are logged with timestamps for audit and compliance purposes.
What is the difference between RFID and biometric access control?
RFID access control uses a proximity card or key fob that the user presents to a reader — it is fast and convenient but can be lost, stolen or shared. Biometric access control uses a physical characteristic (fingerprint, face, iris) that is unique to the individual — it cannot be shared or stolen, providing a higher level of security. For critical areas, multi-factor authentication combining both is recommended.
Can access control systems integrate with CCTV cameras?
Yes. Integrating access control with CCTV allows the system to automatically display camera footage linked to each access event. When a door is opened, the system retrieves the camera feed from that entry point — enabling visual verification of who entered. This is especially valuable for security incident investigation, compliance audits and tailgating detection.AlbaServ India integrates both systems during project deployment.
What is a visitor management system and how is it different from access control?
Access control manages permanent users (employees, residents) with pre-enrolled credentials. A visitor management system (VMS) handles temporary visitors — allowing pre-registration, ID verification, host notification, visitor badge printing and access time limits. VMS software integrates with access control hardware so visitors are granted entry to only specific areas during their authorised visit window.AlbaServ India deploys integrated access + VMS solutions for corporate offices, hospitals and institutions.
How does time and attendance work with biometric access control?
Biometric time and attendance systems automatically log each employee's check-in and check-out timestamps when they authenticate at a reader. The software computes attendance, late arrivals, overtime, and shift adherence — and can export reports directly to HRMS or payroll software (SAP, Zoho, Keka etc.). This eliminates buddy punching and manual attendance errors.AlbaServ India deploys and integrates time-attendance solutions across manufacturing, corporate, healthcare and education sectors.
What is a boom barrier and where is it used?
A boom barrier is an automatically operated horizontal gate arm used to control vehicle entry at parking lots, factory gates, housing society gates, toll booths and corporate campuses. When integrated with RFID readers, ANPR cameras, or intercom systems, it allows authorised vehicles to pass while blocking unauthorised ones.AlbaServ India supplies and installs boom barriers from leading brands including BFT, FAAC, and Magnetic Autocontrol.
How secure is face recognition access control?
Modern AI-based face recognition access control systems (like Suprema FaceStation and ZKTeco SpeedFace) have false acceptance rates (FAR) below 0.0001% and false rejection rates (FRR) below 0.1%, making them highly secure for most enterprise applications. Liveness detection algorithms prevent spoofing with photographs. For ultra-high security areas, face recognition is combined with additional factors like PIN or card for multi-factor authentication.
Can one access control system manage multiple buildings or locations?
Yes. Enterprise access control platforms support centralised management of multiple buildings, floors and locations from a single dashboard. Administrators can set role-based access rights (who can enter which zones), view real-time door status, receive alerts, generate audit reports and manage credentials for all sites — with no need to physically visit each location.AlbaServ India has deployed multi-site access control for clients with 250+ locations across India.
